- Tell us first: whether it’s hydronic or electric, and whether it’s in the slab or under the floor. It changes which floors are suitable.
- Engineered timber: some ranges are approved for underfloor heating and some aren’t, and some warranties exclude heated floors. We’ll show you suitable ranges.
- Hybrid: check the range’s limits for heated floors before choosing.
- Carpet and underlay insulate the floor, so they slow the heat coming through. Ask your heating installer what suits your system.
- Glued or floating: the method depends on the heating and the range, and we decide it at the measure.

Will underfloor heating damage timber?
Not if the range is approved for it and the heating is run within the maker’s limits. That’s why we check the range first.
Can carpet go over underfloor heating?
It can, but carpet and underlay insulate, so the room may warm more slowly. Your heating installer can advise.
Do you work with architects and builders?
Yes. We can bring samples to a site meeting and work to your builder’s schedule.
