- Go dense: a dense pile wears better and is less likely to open up and show the backing where the carpet bends over each nosing.
- Twist or tight loop: twist cut piles and tight level loops both suit stairs. Avoid loose loops if you have pets.
- See it on the edge: we bend samples over a stair edge at the measure so you can see how each one looks.
- Use a good underlay: it adds comfort and helps the carpet keep its appearance on a high-traffic staircase.
