Terra Mater NuCore Extreme Laminate Flooring
NuCore Extreme is Terra Mater’s toughest laminate, rated AC5 for heavy commercial use. Each 12mm board has a Carb 2 HDF core, bevelled edges and registered embossing, where the surface texture follows the printed grain, and the boards join with a 5G Välinge click. Boards are 2200mm long and 193mm wide, and they float over an underlay. Terra Mater lists NuCore Extreme as suitable for in-slab hydronic heating up to 27°C, with a P3 wet slip rating. The ten colours include Bone White, Blackbutt, Spotted Gum, Sedale Grey, Oyster, Sonnet, Swiss Coffee and Woodstock. Compared with NuCore Excellence, Extreme has the higher abrasion class (AC5 versus AC4), a different locking system and a longer manufacturer’s wear warranty, so it’s the one to look at for very busy homes, shops and offices. NuCore Extreme FAQs
What does AC5 mean?
AC ratings describe a laminate’s resistance to abrasion. Terra Mater lists NuCore Extreme as AC5, heavy commercial, the higher of its two laminate ranges.
Is NuCore Extreme waterproof?
Terra Mater doesn’t list NuCore Extreme as waterproof; it lists 24-hour water resistance, which is not the same thing. If water resistance is a priority, ask us about the ResiPlank hybrid and vinyl ranges, which are listed as waterproof.
