EvaLay is Terra Mater's EVA foam underlay, listed for floating floors: engineered timber, laminate and hybrid. It comes in two versions: EvaLay, at 2mm with an 80µm water barrier film, and EvaLay Plus, at 3mm with a heavier 100µm film. Both have a density of 110kg/m³, come in 1m x 20m rolls covering 20m², and Terra Mater's data sheet lists both with a 6-Star acoustic rating, with individual test results of 5 to 6 Star depending on the floor laid over them. Underlay choice affects how a floating floor sounds and feels, so it's worth getting right alongside the floor itself. Note that the ResiPlank hybrids already have an EVA underlay attached to each plank, so we'll tell you whether an additional underlay is needed for the floor you choose. EvaLay is a hard-floor underlay and isn't intended for carpet. We'll recommend the right version as part of your written quote, and we can bring a sample to your home with your flooring choices.

Do I need EvaLay under a ResiPlank hybrid?
ResiPlank hybrid planks have an EVA underlay already attached, and Terra Mater notes its hybrids usually don't need an additional one. We'll confirm at the measure whether anything extra is needed for your floor and subfloor.
