Oakwood Hybrid is a rigid-core hybrid plank with an oak look, in six colours: Blonde Oak, Bianca Oak, Husk Oak, Golden Oak, Grey Oak and Nero Oak. Each 1500 x 228mm plank is 8mm overall, made up of a 6.5mm board with a 1.5mm IXPE underlay already attached, and a 0.50mm wear layer under a UV coating that Airlay lists as anti-bacterial. The planks join with a Unilin click system and are laid as a floating floor rather than glued down. Airlay lists a P3 slip rating, a pass under the AS ISO 9239.1 fire test, and use in both homes and commercial interiors, with a warranty of 25 years residential and 5 years commercial limited wear, as listed by the manufacturer (conditions apply). The colour names match Airlay's Oakwood luxury vinyl plank. Choose the hybrid for a thicker floating click floor with built-in underlay, or the vinyl plank for a slimmer 5mm format. Do I need a separate underlay with Oakwood Hybrid?
Each plank has a 1.5mm IXPE underlay already attached. We check your subfloor at the free measure and note any preparation needed in your written quote.
Should I choose Oakwood Hybrid or the Oakwood vinyl plank?
The hybrid is 8mm with an attached underlay and clicks together as a floating floor. The vinyl plank is a slimmer 5mm. Your subfloor, door clearances and the look you want all play a part, and we'll talk it through on site.
Can I see the colours at home?
Yes. We bring samples to your home so you can see the six oak colours against your own light and joinery.
