Botanic Ridge Carpet & Flooring

Flooring for Botanic Ridge homes

Botanic Ridge runs along the southern edge of the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, from Ballarto Road to Browns Road, in the City of Casey, and takes in the Settlers Run golf course. It’s about 38 km by road from our Huntingdale showroom. Once grazing land, horse stables and market gardens, it has been planned since 2013 with larger lots than most new estates.

In homes like these, engineered timber is a popular choice, and the look of the boards varies a lot between ranges.

Clean or character timber?

  • Clean, even boards have few knots and a consistent colour. They suit contemporary interiors and calm, open-plan spaces.
  • Character boards show knots, colour variation and stronger grain, for a relaxed, natural look that hides everyday marks.
  • Australian species such as spotted gum and blackbutt (about $130/m²) have natural colour variation and gum veins, echoing the native plants next door.
  • Engineered oak starts from $89/m², in plank or herringbone at the same price per m².

We bring samples of several ranges so you can see the variation over a larger area. See our timber flooring price guide.

From first call to finished floor

Book a time that suits you, Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm. We bring the mobile showroom to your home, help you narrow down the samples and measure up. You’ll have a written quote by email within 24 hours, and once you’re happy with it, our installation team takes it from there.

Quoted by people who install

In many flooring stores, the person who measures your home never lays a floor, and the installer turns up with a work order that doesn’t tell the whole story. CarpetAce was set up to close that gap. Tony Chalhoub has been a carpet installer for more than 20 years and founded the business in 2010. Today we’re a family-owned team with more than 40 years in flooring, rated 5.0 from more than 300 Google reviews.

Questions about flooring in Botanic Ridge

Do character boards hide scratches better?

Yes. Knots and colour variation disguise small marks much better than a plain, even board.

Can I mix timber and carpet?

Yes. Timber through the living areas and wool carpet in the bedrooms is a popular combination.

Does timber suit a new home on a slab?

Yes, once the slab is dry enough. We check moisture at the measure and use a moisture barrier where needed.
