Updating a post-war house

Ashwood flooring FAQs
Can you lay engineered timber over our old floorboards?
Usually, if the boards are sound and reasonably flat. Engineered timber can be floated over them on an underlay ($28/m² installation plus $6/m² underlay) or glued down ($35/m² plus $15/m² adhesive) where that suits better. We check the floor at the measure.
Do you remove and refit skirting boards?
Yes. For hard floors we can remove and refit the skirting ($20/m² of floor), so no scotia is needed. We don’t paint, so your own painter touches up the skirting afterwards. Scotia or quad beading is the other option, at $10/m².
Can I see more samples than the mobile showroom carries?
Yes. Our Huntingdale showroom is close by and open by private appointment, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
