Kensington sits about 3 km north-west of the CBD, between Racecourse Road, the Maribyrnong River, Dynon Road and the Moonee Ponds Creek, with shops and cafes on Macaulay Road and the town hall on Bellair Street. Kensington flooring FAQs
Should carpet be lighter or darker than the timber?
Either works. A slightly lighter carpet keeps bedrooms bright; a darker one feels cosy. What matters most is that the undertones agree.
Can you lay floors in a townhouse with stairs?
Yes. Carpet stairs are about $600 to install on an average staircase, plus carpet and underlay, and hybrid stairs $1,600 for 16 steps plus the flooring.
Do you work on timber cottages with original boards?
Yes. Carpet and floating floors go over sound boards, and we check the subfloor at the measure.
