Escape Loop is the loop-pile member of Supertuft's Escape family. Instead of being cut, the wool yarn is left in loops, which gives the floor a textured surface with more visual depth than a velour and a look that sits well in contemporary homes. It is New Zealand wool, made in Melbourne by Supertuft, a family business producing carpet since 1980. Supertuft's sheet lists it at 50 oz per square yard with a pile of about 8 mm, on 3.66 m rolls, and grades it for extra heavy residential use with stairs included, plus heavy contract use. The palette is short and considered: seven colours, from the neutrals Betty and Molly to Saskia, Gigi, Lotti, Esther and Joni. Level Loop shares those colour names but is a lower, flatter loop, so it is worth comparing the two side by side. Supertuft lists a 5-year guarantee (conditions apply). We'll bring samples of both to your home.
