Carpet and flooring in Beaumaris
Beaumaris is known for its mid-century modern houses, with their big windows, open-plan living and, in some cases, split levels. Alongside them are newer family homes and townhouses, many on blocks with established trees, and the bay is never far away.
Floors in these homes have a few jobs to do: stand up to sand and sun, suit the clean lines of a mid-century interior or a new build, and feel good underfoot. CarpetAce supplies and installs carpet, timber, hybrid and vinyl here, and brings the samples to your home so you can see how they look with your own windows and light.
What we supply and install
- Engineered oak planks from Greenwoods and the Terra Mater WildOak range.
- Engineered Australian species such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum, for a warmer, local look.
- Rigid-core hybrid from Terra Mater (Resiplank) and UB Trading (Aqua Stone) for open-plan living areas, kitchens and laundries.
- 5mm vinyl plank.
- Wool and solution-dyed nylon carpet for bedrooms and retreats, from Victoria Carpets, Quest, EC Carpets and Supertuft.
- Carpet underlay from Airstep, Underlay King and Airlay.

How it works
Many people start online. Our instant price guide gives you a figure for your rooms, including installation, and you can upload a floor plan instead of measuring. See it in your room lets you try floors in a photo of your own room, and the photo stays on your device.
When you’re ready, call or send an enquiry. Our mobile showroom brings the samples to you, we measure for free, and your written quote is emailed within 24 hours of the measure. You’re also welcome at our Huntingdale showroom, 52 Hargreaves St, for visits by private appointment. Once you’ve chosen, our team installs.

Beaumaris flooring FAQs
What suits a sunny room?
Strong sun can fade most floors over time, so blinds or curtains help whatever you choose. Solution-dyed nylon carpet is coloured right through the fibre, which helps it hold its colour. With timber and hybrid, it’s worth looking at samples in the room itself, at different times of day, before you decide.
Can you work with split levels and steps?
Yes. Steps and short flights of stairs are measured individually and priced at the free measure. We’ll talk you through how each floor finishes at the steps and doorways.
Hybrid or engineered timber?
Both give you a timber look. Engineered timber has a real timber top layer. Hybrid has a printed timber look on a rigid core and is water-resistant, which makes it a practical choice for kitchens and laundries. Engineered oak starts from $89 per m² and Resiplank hybrid from $45 per m², supply only. We’ll bring both so you can compare.
Do you fix damaged carpet?
We restretch carpet that has come loose or rippled. We don’t patch carpet, repair burns or stains, repair other flooring, clean carpet or handle water damage.
Nearby areas we service
Along the bay, we also work in Sandringham and Brighton. Further inland, we cover Moorabbin and Huntingdale, home of our showroom.
