Flooring for Caulfield North homes
Caulfield North spreads out around Caulfield Park, between Dandenong Road and Balaclava Road, about 10 km by road from our Huntingdale showroom. It’s known for its grand Victorian and Edwardian houses and large interwar homes, along with Art Deco flats and newer apartments.
We also cover Caulfield Junction.
Floors for large period and luxury homes
- Premium and designer wool: premium wool is about $110/m² and patterned designer wool about $123/m². Patterned carpet installation is quoted at the measure, because the pattern has to line up across every join.
- Herringbone and wide-board oak for formal living and dining rooms, in engineered oak from $89/m².
- Grand staircases in wool carpet, or in timber with a runner.
Every job is measured and quoted by people who install floors, which matters most in big, detailed homes. Read about how we work.
Why CarpetAce
We’re not like other flooring stores. In many stores the person who measures and quotes never lays a floor, and the job is handed to an installer on a work order. Tony Chalhoub, a carpet installer for more than 20 years, founded CarpetAce in 2010 so that every job is measured and quoted by people who know how to install it.
We’re family-owned, with more than 40 years in flooring, and rated 5.0 from more than 300 Google reviews.

Caulfield North flooring FAQs
Why is patterned carpet installation quoted separately?
The pattern has to be matched across joins and on stairs, which takes longer and uses more carpet. We work out the layout at the measure and price it in your written quote.
Do you take up old carpet from the stairs?
Yes. Taking up and disposing of old carpet is about $8/m², including the stair area.
Can we see the full range before deciding?
Yes. The mobile showroom brings a selection to your home, and you’re welcome to visit our Huntingdale showroom by private appointment to see more.
